About This Episode

Many times in my life, things did not unfold the way I planned. I've had seasons where I felt certain of my direction, only to be moved somewhere completely different. Over time, I learned something gentle and true: when life doesn't match your plan, it doesn't mean you've failed. It means life is inviting you somewhere new.

In this episode, we explore what it means to find peace when plans change and how equanimity can help you stay open to redirection instead of fighting it.

"Welcome back to Equanimity: Letting Go of Attachments. I'm your host, Master Rinda."

Today, we will explore what it means to find peace when plans change, and how equanimity can help you stay open to redirection instead of fighting it.

I'm grateful you're here. This is a space to soften expectations and return to trust.

We all carry dreams, hopes, and imagined futures. But sometimes the path shifts. A relationship ends. A job changes. A door closes. An opportunity doesn't arrive when you hoped it would.

Disappointment can feel heavy. It can make you question yourself, your decisions, or your timing.

But equanimity teaches us that clinging to what "should have been" keeps us stuck in the past.

Releasing attachment to expectations allows you to see the present more clearly.

You do not need to erase your dreams. You only need to stop holding them so tightly that you miss what life is offering now.

Redirection is not failure—often, it is guidance.

Some paths end because they were too small for who you're becoming. Some plans change because something better is taking shape. Some disappointments are actually protection.

Accepting redirection doesn't mean you stop caring. It means you stop forcing.

Meaning often reveals itself slowly, after the dust has settled. Many of the most beautiful chapters in life begin where old plans fall away.

You can trust life's unfolding, even when the timing feels confusing. You can trust your resilience, even when you feel uncertain. You can trust that you are not starting over—you are starting from experience.

If life is not matching the plan you imagined, take a gentle breath. You are not lost. You are being guided.

Thank you for sharing this time with me.

help_outlineLooking back, can you see a time when a closed door actually protected or redirected you?

Practice This Week

exploreOpen Hands Practice: When you notice clinging to a specific outcome, physically open your hands, palms up.

"I care about this, and I release how it must unfold."

spaThis simple gesture reminds your body and mind that you can hold hopes without gripping them tightly.
